Some British people.
Two English gentlemen converse about the end of civilisation; about how they've muffed it, and how the Pandemic is the gift that keeps on giving; that what seemed to be an existence can be a joyous life; and how we are a plucky nation, with a deep constitution, and we are just not having any of this nonsense.
Richard : 34:51 ...that's the thing; once you've entered into this new world - if you're in the staid world which we've all thought that was all there was- and suddenly you enter into this new world - it's just so rewarding!
Eli: Oh - it's magical.
Richard : Yeah, it is magical.
Eli: and I think the people who are in this community at the moment can see that the old system is falling apart. It's so obvious it's falling apart! Everybody might think Oh my God it's on top of us!, but actually it's like the fall of Rome! We're watching the fall of the "civilization."
Richard: Yeah.
Eli : The old control structures are going, and what we need to do is just go Right! This is what we're gonna do!
Richard: Yeah. It's not like it's all going to go to dust and there's nothing. Actually, before it gets to dust, we're making a new thing!
Eli: It's a fascinating time to be alive.
Richard: I think so.
Eli : A lot of people around me over the last three years have said You're really positive, Eli. I'm like Well, you can't not be! Because this crazy tyranny that we've been living under, they're really trying to screw it down .. because they know that they've lost!…
Richard: ... Don't take this the wrong way... but in a way I'm thankful that we've had something that has given us a kick up the backside, to make us realize actually that that we're not properly awake and alive and doing things; but we can be. And although, of course, many people have suffered as a result of the Tyranny and the mandates of - certain medical things - and, of course, I'm not belittling any of that - but even though that's happened, this is rising people's spirits to think Actually, what just seemed to be an existence, can be a life! A joyous life.
And what I'm seeing, as I go around and meet people and interview people is that yeah, there are these people who are trying to do this to us; but - we're not acquiescing! We're not going Oh, Okay! Yeah, no, I'll just be in my 15-minute ghetto and be miserable. Yeah, no, that's fine. People are just going - What are you talking about? You're Raving Mad, aren't you? Actually, thanks for that - but no thanks. Because there is something far better and more life-giving and joyous to have.
Eli: Yeah. We're going from a survival to a thrive.
Richard: Yes.
Eli: ... There's a great meme of a certain software magnate - I don't know, William Bates - that says he thought that he was going to create a top-down tyrannical government One World Government, but actually he's just created this catalyst for people to just go Well, actually, we're just going to do this. ...they thought they were going to get one reaction. But actually the absolute opposite has happened.
Richard: Yeah.
Eli: And everybody's just like, No, we're not doing that. We're gonna do our own thing. No, you're right - it's almost like a gift isn't it? … I know someone who says The Pandemic is the gift that keeps on giving. It keeps on giving because every single time they bring out something - more tyranny - we're just like, well, we're not going to do that.
Richard: And it's become so bleeding obvious now. … If they decided now they were going to do their Net Zero and [everything else] and spend the next sixty years trying to perfect it, they may have got away with it. But because they were so damn impatient, and they're going Oh no, we'll try and squeeze it all in now - We'll give them the digital IDs and we'll give them CBDCs and we'll give them all of this - people are going Hold On A Second! There's so much here - What is this? ...you know, the cameras all being cut and thrown in the Thames ... people are just not bothering to pay them, and quite right. So yeah…
Eli : ... They are behind schedule - especially in this country.
Richard: Yeah.
Eli: In this country we've gone back to kind of being "normal," but there are different countries around the world which are in very different states.
Richard: China is not in such a good state.
Eli: ..in the smaller Islands - places like Bali and the Seychelles and the Greek Islands it's pretty bad. Places like Lithuania and Belgium are pretty bad too... but they haven't done that much here.
Richard: No. I mean, we are a Plucky Nation, in actual fact.
Eli: Yeah.
Richard: .. This is the other thing. We will put up with a hell of a lot. You know - you slap my face and I go Okay, fair enough; You slap me again. But, after a while, it's like No, mate. I've had enough of this. Now it's my turn to kick you in the teeth. And I feel that that's what we're doing. We're saying Up Yours, we're not doing it. You've had your chance, you muffed it.
Eli: Yeah, absolutely. The British people have a they have a very deep deep constitution. It's an ancient DNA .... They've got a huge amount of experience and I think people underestimate -
Richard: I think they have.
Eli: The indigenous population of Britain is incredibly - for want of a better term - "hard." They've got this constitution that is incredibly powerful -
Richard: Yeah.
Eli: ...and you know we're not the French. We're not going to go out do some violence and get beaten up..
Richard: ... we're not good at that ...
Eli: We're kind of like slow burners, and we'll slowly get in position, and we'll do the things that we want to do. Also, we'll concentrate on what we want to do, and not just react to what they're doing.
Richard: No, exactly.
Eli :..and that's there's a big difference there isn't there?
Richard: Absolutely. And we've learned that being peaceful and honorable and just getting on with it - I mean, stubborn - yes - and mindful that we're going to do it our way, thank you very much. But we're not really about all those fisticuffs .. it's not good karma…
